He said as if reamembering the book but really he couldn't.

"What "book" are you speaking of," Matthew said, a but of laughter in his voice.

"The book of dragon slaying dark magic"
He awnsered he said blankly as well as his eyes he looked like an adult but was still in his small child body.

"Dragons, magic books, paper men," Matthew mumbled. "I need to, sleep."

"I have forewarned you sir Matthew do not ignore this"
Rouge said adult like and older he sounded like a wizard from the past who have seen this book before Rouges mind was full of the past on the dark books birth place.

Matthew looked st the child. "Alright, know go back to bed." He had seen so many strange things.

Rouge ran to his bed and slept going back to his mind he slept dreamed of the past now.

Matthew let Emily sleep in his room that night.

The next day, Matthew stretched and put on some casual clothes. He checked the builders progress on the torn bed and broken window. Then he went downstairs and helped the cooks with preparing breakfast. Matthew closed the windows as snow began to fall.

Rouge looked at the window blankly as to now it was snow,many monthes passed after that incedent he was a good boy not misbehaving keeping quiet and likes to talk to the servents.
He usually sits by the window looking though it blankly as if he see's something no one.

Matthew poked at the fire and added a few logs. He wanted to show Emily the village below his manor on the hill, after all, he was a Lord now.

Rouge finished looking at the window he went to see Matthew and his new found rank,he'd nodded at things such as statues,arks,and painting as if he is saying hi quietly.

Matthew sighed and rubbed his dogs heads. Then he got up and studied a small piece of paper he had found in Emilys room.

Rouge fanilly entered and smiled his smiled faded quickly seeing a shadow wrapped around Matthew as he held onto the paper the shadow wasn't seen but only by seers.

Matthew frowned at the small bit of text. It was in some sort of language he could only understand chunks of. Something about dragons and magic. Must be a childrens book, he thought.

"Hi matthew"
Rouge said not looking at him but whats hugging him was a monsterous shadow.

He put the scrap on the table and looked up. "Good morning Rouge," he said with a smile.

"Good morning,what do you got there?"
He asked looking at his hand where the shadow hold onto.

"Just a scrap from the newspaper," Matthew said.

"Okay,
I think you should throw it away"
He said pointing at it.

"Why," he asked, looking back down at the paper.

"Um,because it looks like trash you wouldn't want that"
He said nervously.

"Well alright then," he said, throwing the paper into the fire.

Rouge watched the shadow screeched but sounds like wind.
"Good,um well can I play in the snow?"
He asked smiling again.
